Country chic engagement party
Inspired by the beautiful autumn weather and aesthetic, I created a styled photoshoot and cake for an engagement party that heroes a country-chic style. The perfect theme for the warm colours of autumn that I know you love!
Embracing a different approach to my usual tablescapes, I opted to design an intimate and cosy engagement party setting. Utilising an eclectic mix of décor, warm colours, textures and a dash of autumn influence, my small side garden was styled into country-chic bliss!
This party scene encouraged me to think outside the box with presentation and challenged me creatively cake-wise to embrace the theme, but still keep it modern. I hope this beautiful set-up encourages you to get creative with your party planning for your next special celebration!

THE CAKE
It was important to me that this engagement cake remained contemporary, but still embraced the warm autumn-country aesthetic.
For the top tier, I wanted to get creative with texture and decided to replicate the appearance of fallen autumn leaves onto the sides of my cake. This was a new technique for me, which was achieved by blitzing edible wafer paper in the blender - simple, but effective!
To add a touch of elegance, I made the decision to keep the bottom tier sharp and simple. This tier features hand-made circular embellishments with a rose gold finish, keeping to the warmth of the colour scheme.
