Wild child disco party

Pink grocery trolley, disco balls and spikey balloons…mix that with some leopard print and you can’t deny this sounds like one hell of a party!

With a mix of disco inspiration and touch of wild child glam, I hope this fabulous cake and party setup inspires your inner raver for your next birthday celebration!

When I thought of the word ‘wild’, leopard print immediately came to mind…”

THE STYLING

The inspiration for creating and styling this party setup was the phrase, “Wow, this looks like a wild night!”. We have confetti strewn across the floor, a pink shopping trolley covered in streamers and the star burst balloons (which I’ve dubbed ‘the spikeys’) giving a soft rebellious aesthetic.

Vibrant pops of pink, orange and silver radiate an upbeat energy.

Lastly, what’s a disco-inspired party without disco balls for the ultimate party vibe?!

THE CAKE

When I thought of the word ‘wild’, leopard print immediately came to mind and I instantly knew I had to incorporate this pattern into my cake design. I embraced a vibrant colour twist on the classic print and added a rough silver leaf finish that created an impacting statement.

I played with rough textures and application to embrace that wild and unruly theme, while ensuring to capture the shine of the disco ball through the use of silver leaf.

While I originally intended to embrace more of a disco theme in this cake, it turns out my wild side was calling me!
